You can open any substance file in the Player, whether or not B2M is installed. It's just the default program in which any substance, B2M included, are opened. -

3dsmax: Transfer Meshes Between Scenes
I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to transfer meshes between two open 3dsmax scenes (I have two instances of max open) without having to export a file to the HD. Anyone know of anything? -

Are you opening a file when it crashes or just when opening the program? You could try deleting your preferences and see if that fixes it. -

In real life, a spotlight is a pointlight with a "mask" like I described. Its encapsuled in some open shape. That way, the light can only exit on the opening of the object.
