Hello everyone I was trying to create a sword design that had some fancy decorative stuff, but still ended up being potentially practical. And this is the result textures are 2048x2048- diff, normal, spec/gloss Any critique would be greatly appreciated
this video made me tickle. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/374439/computer_games_how_its_made/ i like it when the narrator talks about motion capture and we see the dude getting up trying to take off the sword. lol
What is the average poly count for an airplane, weapons (sword shotgun), fully functional male character and a vehicle used in games ranging from GTA San Andreas to Halo? If someone could answers this I would much appreciate it.
Designs in previous games were quite boring, so i've made it from scratch, following the lore (made by dragons, and is the sword of a god which is sort of represented by a snake, that's why the tsuba is dragon and snake). Highpoly (WIP)
Here's my first pass at establishing my base colors and materials, as well as a first look at his sword. As I continue working on the textures, critiques and comments are very appreciated. Thanks!
