I am switching to Maya due to a job requirement. I need some help figuring how to move on a custom axis in Maya with precise numerical values.(if not possible are there any scripts to do this ? ) I used to do this quite a lot in Blender like in this picture.
Hi everybody, I'm working on a Beam Data particle system and I'm trying to lock the up axis so that the particles, instead of always facing the camera, are locked to always face upwards. Adding a Lock Axis module didn't help at all. Any ideas on how to make this work? Would be much appreciated.
Hello guys i'm new in this forum, my name is Marco :) I'm building my portfolio and i would like some suggestion about my axa based on a concept from "the art of Blizzard" i just change a couple of things maybe i need to sculpt more details Thanks guys!! :# :# :#
Hello again, I'm just curious if there's a way to achieve this: Obviously normal rotation would move those vertices up and to the left rather than just straight up. I tried an axis constraint but that only affects the transform gizmo rather than the geometry. This would be helpful for any planar surfaces that need to be…
Hey Everyone, Been working on a model of a Suzuki AX100 for a project at work (we're simulating an african village where motorbikes play a pretty big role in the predominantly agricultural economy). We're doing the project in Unity but we're building it for a Cave 2 environment so raw power is no problem. In that context…
Is there a way you can hide the viewport gizmo/axis in 3DSmax. I'm refering to the one in the bottom left hand side which is always in view. I'm using 2009 x64 btw. There must be a way you can do this right?
Is there a hotkey to switch transforms from Local to Global? Not finding much info in terms of hotkey guides for marmoset and its pretty fiddly moving lights in a local axis. Thanks
I'd like to assign a hotkey to planarize a selection by hitting ctrl+shift+x, y, and z. However, the only function I can find is "make planar" which isn't what I want. Is there a way to assign a hotkey to just the make planar X function? Thanks.
hello everyone, Jeep willys MB.... decided to make this one as detailed as my skill allows me to which I hope will become a bit better once I am done with this model and I really hope some of you will guide me throught it if you see me making a mistake here or there. I don't really know the purpose of this model, whether…
