I found a viewer that can saw you FBX files , so how these can help us to see our work ? is there a way to minimize time of checking the skins otherwise than playing the game etc etc?
spoken like a true business man and there is nothing wrong with that either. most artists care more about personal skill development, hand crafting etc etc. business men care only about the end result.
What details? Do buildings in modular way. So walls, roofs etc, big pieces will be tiling texture. Doors, windows, beams, boards small/big etc, will be separate object/model, with separate map/UV.
Eric I for one would love you long time in your face if you made a nice performance related tutorial. Cover tri strips, draw calls, etc etc. In other words, YES PLEASE.
the TLDR is that I need simple player collision so you don't hung up on stuff but I still need to be able to shoot through small gaps in railings etc. I've done roughly what you describe - just wondering how other people have dealt with it and whether it'll start becoming a problem when a large map gets populated. I'm…
Hello I had a scan, few milion polygons, i "converted" this (retopo etc.) into a lower poly version of 10 000 polygon and Diffuse, Displacement (32 bit EXR) and Normals maps (the "standard one" - purple-ish :-) ). I deleted the original scan. Now i "discovered" that i would like to have also even lower poly version of this…
So, Im new here so Hi. I have recently started getting into more advanced 3d modelling etc having previous worked in different software (little bit of sketchup & a lot of Rhino) with my work, I decided I wanted to develop my skill set and put it to use for game asset creation (for fun) & also the possibility of added extra…
Hey all, I'm just playing around with some low poly modeling and while I've still got a lot to learn about optimizing and decent use of triangles, I'm ok with the body/hands/legs etc, but the head is proving tricky. I'm fine with anything slightly higher poly, either through box modeling or edge-extruding but really low…
I pursposely avoided this game since it was released as I swore I would never pay monthly fees to play an online game. Well after a few years of talking co-workers into joining the Battlefield series bandwagon (and having countless hours of fun) reading the posts on Polycount regarding W.O.W. fun, I finally gave in and let…
Hey, Stop watching tutorials and start to get things done. No matter how cruel it turns out, finish it with your current skills and knowledge. Then analyze how you can improve next time. This work, no matter how imperfect it is, also allows you to get feedback. Work in smaller chunks that are manageable for you. Set lower…
