Rhino: .smd is a Valve thing, I've found the best way for importing into Hammer is using the xsi mod tool. There's a very good video that comes with it that shows you how to export your model from the Mod Tool into Hammer. Don't even need to know how to use XSI to follow that one along. Might give it a look but the wiki is…
Looking pretty good so far, keep up the good work. Oh and im not trying to hijack your thread or anything, but how similar is Mud box to Zbrush? I've used Zbrush a bit and still find it a bit overwhelming and difficult to get similar results to others (such as those on this very forum). Is mud box a bit more friendly…
It would be hard to integrate these into a mod without making the rest of the mod look bad Sweet work I haven't downloaded the pack yet, but would it be possible to get 3ds files? I know you didn't want requests, so ignore this if it's annoying The group I work with is developing in Torque and I don't know of any direct…
I've written a tutorial on how to get a simple prop from XSI into the Source Engine. This guide uses the free Mod Tool for exporting a model, and properly explains the process of compiling a model and material for Team Fortress 2. But the method can be used for any Source Engine game. I wrote this as a quick reference for…

model ...& there be my next attempt at quick modelling and texturing of a tower-like thing. Safe to say this also took longer than I though it would, but also the first time I have tried to paint some water and create the transitions between water/mud & mud/grass. On that note I think it turned out quite nicely.
Making some mods to snap together. -The ratios of these wall mods are half the width of the next. IF you keep these ratios and stick to right angles, all the rooms will snap together nicely. With some small texture and mesh changes you can get a large variety of walls. As long as the total units match per side of the room,…
Awesome. I'm just thinking about it again. I can kind of see what you had going on. A structure on the front left, mid right, and back left. You can probably test out a small structure on the back left, and still have the pathway/ground visible, and a mid/big structure on the back right. Just a suggestion, if that works.
