Hi everybody. I am starting to try out marvelous designer for a character I am making. I get the advantages of using the simulator instead of manually creating clothing, since it makes a lot faster making creases, folds and should also be more accurate, but... thanks for your answers :P I was planning to add the small wrinkles with the ps filter, but the big ones will be done by hand. Here at the studio we have done some tests with the cloth extension, and well, it works very good. Retopology and baking of marvelous designer cloth problem
I`m trying to bake normals for a marvelous designer cloth but i`m getting errors (Seams ??) like around the sleeve wrinkles area, i have tried to increase and decrease the ray distance on xNormal but still no good results, if i cleaned it manually on photoshop it`ll lose all of the high res details on that area. I've always had problems with painting cloth folds for game characters so I would need some help from you guys. The problem is simply that I can't make it look right. Why Cloth Simulation Always leave some gap? (blender)

Henlo, ok, so speaking for production creation and in order to get hired by potential client or a company could you explain is it important (and if is why it is important) to know how to sculpt cloth folds manually by hand on a character clothes or it is totally fine if using strictly only marvelous designer to simulate it… -

Pretty melodramatic. I worked on some similar stuff recently, for the worn edges with lots of loose fibres, I made a horizontally-tiling "trim" texture of fibres and loose fabric, and when I wanted to add this to an edge of an existing cloth mesh I just extruded the edge out a bit, detached those new faces and mapped…
