well this is my first try at a normal map, but i think i screwed up somehow can you guys tell me what i did wrong, and what you think about how it looks:
looks like orionflame was causing the problem. i uninstalled it and dds's work again. thanks for the email address eric, i talked to him and he's pretty surprised this is happening. i wonder if its only an issue with max 7. i remember polyboost breaking dds's too.

OK, so i have a background image i am using for reference right? it's in the front view. whenever i go to user, perspec....whatever, the model is no longer lined up correctly with the reference when i try to go back to front view. anyone experience this before?
