Oh, if he wants to do something app-specific, hows about incorporating UV editing as a sub-element of Editable Poly in 3dsmax... like Maya does... no need for a silly modifier, just edit UV verts/edges etc from the EPoly itself.
sorry tru that! um just using standard cloth modifier. it has collisions with 5 other objects and yer thats a bout it. the piece i am trying to get to work atm is a long skirt..... n i want to have it pinned to her hips.
It was a modified Mari and a giant library of tiling materials. Crazyeyes, is it possible for you to explain the tiling method you mentioned a few pages back, regarding the first subtool? I saw that you uploaded an example on Artstation. Any word on Anthony's 2.5 method as well?
just more convenient, you don't need uv unwrap modifier open.has its own little interface. EDIT actually version 1.0 works fine, though only on edit mesh unfortunately http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/game-tools
in poly modifier when doing operations like extruding and other stuff as soon as you hit right click you get your last transform tool back like move, rotate or scale- maybe it gets somewhat close to your 'g'- key.
Jonathan: clone your model then add a slight push modifier to the clone and give it a wireframe material. Shadow: nice tank - I agree with EQ, I think the noise is a bit too uniform over the entire tank. Still looks very nice though.
They're probably using the new Garment Maker and Cloth modifiers released to subscribers in Max 7.5, and then to everyone else in the release of Max 8 (which was like, 2 weeks ago now). Check my post Cloth in Max 8 for links to videos on the process.
Zergxes: If you're talking about "making things squishy" via Deformers, you should probably try the FFD (free form deformation) modifiers in Max's drop-down list. You can apply them to vert/edge/face selections, or to entire objects.
Crease set "1,0", or Hard edges, in all borders Turbosmooth Turbosmooth again The problem. I've tried all the ways, but so far I haven't found a solution :( I used chamfer modifier, cut tool and nothing solved this. Thanks
Is there a way to have these dialogue boxes default to "Yes" so i dont have to keep clicking or pressing enter? I'm a spline noob, but I thought I'd give it a go with the surface modifier to see if it'll be good for creating quick low res meshes.
