Hello @Joaole , Could you provide us with some more information? Firstly, Does it crashes in any scene? or just the one you are working on? * You can test this by going to our library>Scenes> and select the 'Bake Widget' Try baking this scene and let us know if it still crashes. If it's crashing just with the scene you are…
…as opposed to collapsing to the average distance? I can't simply remove the loop since that will also delete the UVs. The best way I found was to use Swiftloop to slide it over manually to the corresponding loop then 'weld all' on selected verts. Works well enough but was wondering if there was a faster 1-2 click…
aside from a very uninspiring model, I agree on the to much slices they could be easily reduce, just select the loops alt+l (with shortcut override enabled) and then ctrl+backspace to remove them without killing the faces. edit: snap seems I have been to slow
You can import an existing mesh as topology and then delete the bits that you don't like. When you've got your high res mesh attached to your ZSphere, use "Select Topo" to choose the model. From there go to Edit Topology and you'll be off to a good start.
usually I planar map the whole mesh so's I know where everything is, mark my seams and then use quick peel with the expand selection to seams button. it's pretty much just a case of relaxing and packing after that (except on ears etc. which are complete gits).
* Tested using Max 6.0, Max 7.0, Max 8.0 , max 9.0. * Restored the Stitch, Sketch, Pack, and Relax menus in the Quads. * Added: fit relax, relax 2, soft selection, edge loop, paint mode options from max7, expand/compact uvs.
Blur Studios has a great script ChangeBitmaps that we use. Lets you Find/Replace in all bitmap names, and you can refine the search to just the select object(s), current slot of Material Editor, etc. Pretty handy. http://www.neilblevins.com/blurscripts/blurscripts.htm
I think snap radius starts at 20 by default. Are you sure you have snaps activated, just selecting the tool from the drop down menu doesn't always activate them. the snaps marker is is just a visual aid, and i think that is set to 30 by default.
Even easier way: optional -make sure all your objects are an editable poly (via attach, and convert to editable poly) -go into edit mode -select vertice edit optional -press F3 optional -press g -print screen paste in MSpaint and save Endresult:
would that work, he's using transfer maps, not doing a scene render so he prolly dosnt even need/ have a camera in scene. all bakes form maya include a alpha channel, so you could use that to quickly select the background and fill it with whilte
