Re: Maya High Poly Workflow? (hard surface)
Maya now has the creme de la creme for modeling tools compare to previous versions of Maya, that we can all give Kudos to Autodesk, first they had to EOL Softimage; I guess sometimes, something has to die for something good to come. :) Now we wait for "The future of modeling" and BiFrost to blossom. -

3ds max gizmo scaling for higher precision like in Maya?
There is a few things Maya has which I wish 3ds have and vice versa. Does anyone know if I can have gizmo scaling or other way to increase manipulation precision in 3ds max? For those who are not familiar with autodesk Maya, by +/- keys, you can scale up and down manipulator and therefore precision. -
[3ds max] override uv checker texture tip
To swap the texture simply rename “UV_Checker” to “UV_Checker_old” and copy your new image in making sure the name is “UV_Checker”. Tif Zip Compression and Maya/Max Display Issues
Using tiff files with zip compression has brought to my attention a few issues with max and maya. They wont display them. Has anyone else ran into this problem/issue? If so how did you deal with it?
