sweeeeeeet! at this stage of texturing it looks like alot of that geo in the torso could be omited b/c its not really doing anything. just an optimizing suggestion =) not sure what else u got planed, might need it after all!
Hello @Noren ! Thank you for the clarification! I put a temporary wood texture to check. (The main cupboard is 4k and its doors are 2K) I made a mistake in my last screenshot ! The main cupboard in the previous screenshot was utilising a 2K checker texture instead of 4K. Now with the proper 4K checkers, it seems to look…
Any comments on this? Its supposed to be a magnetically propelled motorbike (hence the tire-trench, and lack of axels... its magnetically suspended and rotated. And yes -- it will have a texture :b Kinda hard to UV map an unfinished geometry. Any opinions? (also looking into smoothing out the edges somehow)
hi this has probably been answered before but I can't find it. basically, if I want to add an extra row of quadrangles from point a to point b, essentially adding an "edge loop", what is the best way in edit poly mode? thanks.
Great idea! Thank you, that works. And it's a useful trick for a lot of other occasions or problems! Here's the result. The right beam's vertex colours are visible in the viewport, but undesirably lit in the renderer. The left beam's vertex colours are displayed as desired in the viewport and in the renderer, using a…
Hello and welcome! I am currently working on a concept for my 3D Portfolio of Samus Aran from the Metroid series, combined with the design of Portal 2. I am aiming for it to look as if Aperture Science designed and built the power suit that Samus is famous for, as I thought they would be great to mix together, while…
Hey everyone, I tried to look up the issue I am having but the closest I get is field of view or aspect ratio solutions but none help solve my problem. I hope that the problem is not deeper than that but I feel like it might be. Basically I have a scene block out set up in 3ds max with a camera to "Ideally" match what the…
Cover your desk with them, get some blinkenlights, and then use them exclusively to do your art. Get a lab coat too. You'll look like some crazy scientist from a cheap 60's B-movie.
this is some really awesome stuff. I love how efficient it is. the sci-fi stuff at the top really reminds me of the old B&W Robotech: Sentinels comics in a very good way. And you wail at 3d? so cool!
Not getting too good a view on the tread part of the tires in that render, and that middle "disk" between the three bolts on the rim is rotated diagonally in the concept. Other than that it looks great! :) But, good God did I hate that vehicle in the game B|.
