Recently I have found a Theory that dates back to the Apollo Moon Missions....called the Hollow Moon Theory. It states that there is a chance that the moon is hollow...might sound odd, but its possible. Contained inside is a Large vast Satellite Structure. I thought I would make my own idea of what the Satellite might look…

Fellow hobbyist here. Agree with the notion of doing vice being. I do find value in tutorials but not in the traditional sense of following along step-by-step but by treating it as a class lecture, making notes and looking for new tricks and techniques along the way. Modeling time lapse videos are great for this.

SO, I have a model I'd like to 3D print (through Shapeways), and to save on costs I'm trying to hollow it out. I can guess/check my way through it in ZBrush using Dynamesh's Create Shell feature, but I'd like something more precise where I can define wall thickness in millimeters. For that, I'm trying to hollow it out in…
I'm honestly not sure what you're aiming for (to me gradient texturing suggests the use of lookup tables and shaping curves) but... if you want it to look like a bunch of floor tiles it sort of already does - using a box shaped gradient would make it look more tiley if you want it to not look like a load of floor tiles…
They were already on my blacklist because they wouldn't commit to *any* limit on unpaid revisions, with the reasoning being 'you may have followed the brief perfectly, but if the customer isn't happy...' That was a huge red flag to me, so I decided not to work with them.
