Hi all, this is a project I created for my university work. I attempted to create a mech without using sculpted detail instead of applying most of the detail from hight information, this was to test if it was an appropriate approach to creating such a large task. If possible for my course please provide feedback! The scene…
So, I've been getting a tad bored with my assignments at school. So over my quarterly break I decided I would take a crack at one of the mechs in an upcoming game called Titanfall. Here is the gif that i found on the net that shows a full turn around: http://i.imgur.com/jel1eWZ.gif#played Here is my progress so far I'm…
Hey everyone I've been using polycount for a long time now just too look at cool artwork and such. I made an account on the advice of my teacher saying I can start posting my work to get feedback and ideas and be involved. I am a computer graphics major with a focus on 3D and I'm fairly new to ACTUALLY trying to model and…

Really enjoyed working on this and did couple of design changes, my goal was to get as clean…

Because we are independent we cannot pay you up front, which I am sorry for, but if the kickstarter funds I'll…
Make a lot of progress, from high poly to baking, texture and finally render, I decided to make a little scene this time around to convey sense of scale and the mech movement better.
Crazy final bid. Hope it's made up of more than just cardboard. More views here in case you want to ref it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300341614844
A good tip when rendering is to NOT set your background color to straight black. (a value of 35 is pretty good) The mech looks pretty cool... didn't it have a knife attached to it somewhere?
