Hi there, thanks for looking already =] I am building a 3d engine and i wanted to do a basic test scenario with some rifle or machinegun shooting, just to showcase. Can anyone donate me some (or one) weapon model skinned? The polycount can range from 1.5k to 5/6k for example. Of course i will credit you on the demo. Thanks!
I'll be starting on the Steam Carbine a little later this month but I'm excited to see where everyone goes with this challenge! @miriuk It's likely that it has to be manually updated and the people that have the ability to change it just haven't thought about that particular button at the moment. It is stickied in the "3D…

Thank you for taking your time to give me feedback! So maybe something like a diorama? instead of spending time on a whole environment i can make something on a smaller scale and still showcase vital skills. Is this a good example of what you suggest i should do https://www.artstation.com/artwork/dOLDVA
would you say I'm going in the right direction for that? I want to build an entire scene to better showcase my skills but at the same time I've been told that doing quick single pieces like the ones I have shown are good too as oppose to just a giant scene like maybe a room or something of that nature.
Don't use mentalray renderer to showcase a game model. Use a game engine instead. Your barrel normal map is getting better, good job. Have you seen this barrel yet? Might gain some pointers from they way they did theirs. http://polycount.com/discussion/183292/viking-props-marmoset-toolbag-3
I'm going for a full environment. I'm gonna place the church inside a nice and pretty forest that I've already made in unreal with props that I've bought from the marketplace. I'm even planning to animate a camera to showcase the environment. So yeah.. I'm going big on this one. :D :) ) I'll make sure to post updates :)
They will. Likely CGI, however. There hasn't been a console generation in so long. They are really going to pull some strings and make everyone marvel at what they want us to think these things can do. I still remember the original Xbox E3 showcasing. Some of those technology demos still look good even today!
