3D Artists Wanted For Gothic Fantasy Game [Revenue Share]

Hi all,

Six Times Nothing are looking to recruit one or two passionate, skilled and creative 3D environment artists to work with us on our in-production game development project, Dawn Of The Tyrant.

About the roles:

Firstly, please note that these 3D artist roles are being advertised as unpaid positions. We are looking to find people who are genuinely interested in being part of an ongoing project, who want to have creative input into the final product and are willing to help work towards making the game successful. We also understand that good quality artwork doesn't come for free. We are planning to launch a Kickstarter funding campaign this year and will be offering to all project contributors a contract whereby we will commit to remunerating them appropriately if and when funding is successful. They will also be offered an ongoing role in the project, paid out of our funded production budget.

We are looking for people who are able to bring a high standard of artwork to the game, as well as a genuine passion in helping to complete this game and take it to market. Lots of past game experience is not really necessary, but proven industry standard 3D skills through past or personal work will be required.

We are seeking people interested in joining our team and collaborating with us in one or more of the following roles:
  • Environment 3D Artist
  • Props 3D Artist
  • Level Layout Artist (Unity 3D knowledge required)

About the game:

Dawn Of The Tyrant is a gothic fantasy RPG with some innovative socially connected features. The game is based on an original IP, set in a dark and brutal world inspired in part by the ancient civilisations of Egypt, Assyria and Babylon. The main two protagonist races are similar in appearance to angels and fallen angels.

The game is highly progressed and we already have a working prototype with production quality 3D assets. We are currently working on completing a full level for a playable demo, for which additional 3D environment and prop assets will be required. Once the demo is complete we will use it – as well as a vastly new and improved gameplay video – to showcase the game while we seek funding to produce a complete and marketable game. We also hope to exhibit and promote the game later this year at PAX Australia in Melbourne.

To find out more about the game, have a look at our showcase forum thread on the Unity Forums here: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/179567-Dawn-of-the-Tyrant-Introduction-Gameplay-video

There is a gameplay video of our working prototype on YouTube here: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lliHhSLXyjU"]Dawn Of The Tyrant - Gameplay First Look - YouTube[/ame] (This is actually a bit old now and the game has progressed significantly since then – but it does illustrate that we have a functional game, not just some good ideas!)
