Huge Imporvement from your first screenshots! As I was scrolling down I was seeing everyone was already giving the advice I was thinking of from seeing the first screens. Hello everyone! I am a beginning 3D modeler that just started about 4 months ago. I am currently working on my final project for a 3D modeling and rigging class. Here are the screen shots of what I've done so far. 1. 2. 3. 4. I will post more screen shots as I finish up the rest of the model.:):):) All feedbacks are…
Hey all, as the topic suggests, I'm getting some weird dithering in the blue channel of my normal map. I'm not to sure what is causing it, but any insight on the problem would be awesome. Thanks! Here is an example of the issue. The one on the left is a screen grab of the model with normal and spec applied, while the one…

Finished the LP/Bake. Ran into a few speed bumps along the way, but I got them straightened out. Overall I am pretty pleased with how the bake came out. Starting on the texturing soon. Screen-grab (Thanks Xoliul!) is AO and Normals and is sitting just over 5.7k tris: Edit: Updated screen-grab with Oniram's spots. Fixed the…
there was once a writeup for crytec where they converted the screen space normals to 8 bit with an encoding cubemap so it looked nasty but after normalizing it had way better result, (http://sebh-blog.blogspot.de/2010/08/cryteks-best-fit-normals.html) this if someone converts a tangent space normalmap to 8 bit with this…
