Im only playing on very hard, hardcore mode... i tried a regular player, and i found it took away some of the heart wrenching moments, cause there really isnt any risk to it. lol. i think lvl 12 is my furthest. ive gotten there a few times and keep making bad mistakes.
It was unbearably hot today, and ceiling fans worked fine, we don't use AC. More problem than keeping me cool (I don't mind any temps too much), is keeping my computer cool. However, I went to take a dump, and was drenched in sweat by the end. Bathrooms are always a problem.
Search engines fail me and the best I can find is just applying the cloth modifier to the whole thing which is obviously not how you are supposed to do it since it's an optimization disaster. Or is it? Is there a less demanding way to do it than the simulation but more realistic than just weighting it with the body? I'm…
There is a new tutorial video for Maya on the new Bonus Tools; Extrude and Preserve UVs. The video is one in a set of films on the Bonus Tools for Maya by Steven Roselle. He is one of the on-staff artists at Autodesk who specializes in Maya and games. He's often the one that Autodesk sends out to directly talk to the…
Hey everyone, long time no post! Here's a few 3D models that I did over the Summer to keep myself in practice. Each of them took a couple of weeks of "off-and-on" work. I used Maya to model them and also to generate the normal map. Then I used Photoshop to fix up the normal map and create the diffuse and spec. Trench Knife…
More WIP! I have made the bag, buckle, wrench and pants. I am not 100% happy with the bag (specially the button area) but im going to keep it like this for now. I am planning to make all the buckles sharing textures, for the bags i will maybe do 2 versions to avoid so much repetition.
Usually if I need to have mirrored UVs I will delete half of the verts, duplicate the other half, mirror them over, and remove doubles if necessary. But you said you didn't want to alter vertex ids so that throws a wrench in that plan. May I ask why you need to preserve vert ids?
Just do like any good head of studio would do, and fire someone from the trenches. Different types of applicant searchs seems to yield different kind of jobs and qualities it seems. and some jobs seems to become available if you level some guy up in a combination of jobs via job switch item.
ha I love pa Actually the reason I was so drawn to the position is because my boss was an artist, and has been in the trenches. So working with someone that has done their time was really appealing to me. I still expect some crazy hours, but at least the people setting the time frame are aware that they are crazy hours.
Hm. Well, that throws a wrench into the plans. I use a Wix site because I can't be bothered to learn HTML when I could spend better time on making actual stuff. I may have also gone "overboard" by focusing more on design than your standard Microsoft Word resumes. Derp.
