Hello all! I'm finally starting my first UDK map. It will be relatively small map, based on ancient china. The goal is to create all the modelling, texturing and everything else pretty much from scratch. I started with creating first stone blocks texture for the ground. This is the zbrush sculpt (each tile is separated, i…
Such a simple thing and yet I'm unable to figure it out in UDK. I just want to make the mesh OR the material rotate 360 degrees to give the illusion of moving clouds. I'm not looking for anything detailed and if this was Source I'd just parent it to a func_rotating. Annoyingly Google links to some old Unreal 3 methods like…
really nice...BUT i think it needs two things to really really shine. 1st the bloom threshold could do with increasing (haven't used UDK for ages so...not to sure on the technical name in UDK) so that not the entire image is bloomed 2nd the original paintings green tones are offset beautifully by the splashes of deep red,…
DX11 mode is on but its not the latest version.Later I'll try it with the latest UDK, I just need to download it. I also made an IBL mat a few weeks ago and mine can work with "pre-made" cubemaps ( you import the sharp and the pre-blurred cubemaps) and it can use real time cubemap actors with real time blur that is similar…
There is very little to evaluate and the stuff that is there is not viewable in an engine like UDK. You used UDK to create an environment. I would like to see your models in that environment or maybe in an entirely new one. Also, don't shy away from putting more information about the models, texture sizes, wireframes and…
Okay so I am a noob when it comes to the UDK to be honest. And I've been having some trouble with shaders in general for a while now, they always look dodgy. This simple brick wall I created shows my problem, basically I get this darkness creeping in, the back face away from the light is just black too. [I just placed it…
Hi! I just thought I could post some screengrabs from a little building I'm working on. My goal with this is to make a clean & stylish building. So far I have the first floor done and I hope to have the rest of the building done soon. This is rendered inside UDK with a simple direct light casting dynamic shadows. Some of…
I'm going to ask a really noobi questions here. I've built a Robot with a screen for a face. I wanted to have the screen on a separate UV channel. But UDK keeps pushing in the UV isles that were put outside the bounds in Max and putting them all over. So the question is. Can i only have one UV isle in a channel and the…
Hi, Any idea why would the material ID's would be missing in UDK from an object that has 3 meshes and 3 material ID's? I've been trying things and looked around the forums and couldn't find anything. I'm using 3ds Max 2012.
Hey there! Just a quick question - I have a cube in 3ds Max @ 96 generic units high. I export via ASE to udk, and place into a level. The box is now roughly half the height of a human. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? :)
