Thanks guys, the art direction was to go the Blizzard style so I am glad you're all seeing it in relation with World of Warcraft. I got the normals and ambient occlusion baked out. I still have a couple of things to tweak in the normals and ao, but here is a first pass.
In the game school my team created a pong based game in a medieval tavern setting. Inspired by hearthstone and the warcraft universe. I did the crowd and the background floor/assets. Concept sketches for the crowd This is the final illustration How the crowd looks ingame. Sadly we had cut it above.
Hmm, I suppose I'll need to spend a bit of time and gather and organize some examples, as I can't point at any single style. It kind of ranges from "Warcraft" to "Prince of Persia 2008" to "Dishonored" to "Devil May Cry 5". I just like various styles and feel strongly about them at any given time. Actually working in those…
Hello, After years of loves for video games and arts, I finally decide to start my future path in 3D modelling. I just started courses online and practicing with Blender but my ultimate goal since I'm a child is to work at Blizzard in World of Warcraft. I don't know yet which one do I prefer; environment or character…
Hi Everyone, This is a fist weapon that I designed from 2D to 3D. My inspiration came from Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. When you start digging for a truly medieval mmo you'll find that quality will be consistantly worse than if you'd just gone for something like world of warcraft, but as yozora mentioned, mount & blade. It might not be an mmo, but you'll definitely get some large scale multiplayer medieval battles out of it.
It has to be real geometry, structure needs to be closed and a single piece unless you want to assemble it later. Some types can add color, here just watch this. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP25fKsN0Io"]How FigurePrints 3D Prints World of Warcraft figures.wmv - YouTube[/ame]
