My questions- Is it possible to paint directly onto layers without destroying the DDO set-up? Can we add custom layers without…
Very straightforward issue: import a plane with 4 faces, tessellate in the shader, then vertex paint. Despite tessellating to thousands of polys, vertex paint only respects the *original* vertex count? Stated differently: You cannot paint on tessellated vertices, only base mesh vertices(?)
that is just the nature of projection painting. you just need to paint carefully while using the projection tool. you only want to paint on faces that are relatively facing straight to the camera. paint small areas at a time, rotate your view and paint again.
