Hi guys. When i am using uvlayout plugin for 3dsmax 2014 i bake normal maps from hipoly (after UV is ready) and for some strange reason it causes very bad result. it look like all smoothgroups are missing and each polygon on lowpoly has own smoothgroup. Who can help me with that?
Just something fun I've been creating for a while - planning to roll this one into a warehouse in Unreal 4. I'll update this thread as I keep working on it. There's no interior... yet! 3DS Max 2014 139k triangles 8k chassis, 4k wheels, 2k windows Texturing in Quixel SUITE 2

Ok so animation is not my strong point but i would love to be able to make an animation where a flat plane is folded into a swan type shape. Like typical origami. I would want to do this using 3ds max 2014. If anyone has any tips for this please let me know :) thanks guys!
I bought Quixel Academic on 15th. May in 2014. Then I recieved two e-mail with two licenses. They are dDo and nDo2. Rencently I have registered the official edition successfully, but the nDo didn't. I wanna register all the liscenses sucessfully. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you.
In your screenshot, the max render time is set to 10s, that's probably why your GPU goes back to 0, but you got 114 iterations in 10s, so the GPU is definitely used. For the larger scene it's hard to say without seeing a log file.
First project completed for 2014 - Started waaay back in the year of 2013. Also squeezed in a small environment thingy in between. A bit less painterly than I hoped. Think Im going for a handpainted weapon or something of the sort next! Cheers!
It does look better, but it wouldn't be bad to use this to study a bit. You could probably find tutorials similar to this: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZY3I7SyLQI"]Zbrush Character Sculpt - Mutant 004 - YouTube[/ame] for every part of your model.
