Or you could model one segment of the pie however you want, duplicate it and rotate it, then hit shift d a bunch of times. Take the number of subdivision you want in your pie and divide that by 360 to get the rotation value.
On the 360 the hardware will calc the value very fast, when using their special DXN format (two 8 bit channels). Basically the same size as a DXT1 texture, but double the bit depth, and almost free calculation of the third channel.
awesome news....just too bad I wont be able to play it if they go the 360 only route like with the last one. That exclusivity deal with was a dumb move I think, could have sold a lot more units....
No, dont go to Pier 39 kub. Check out Haight Ashbury If you haven't allready been. The top of Coit tower provides an amazing 360 degree panorama of the city. http://www.sfstation.com is a good 'whats on' city guide.
Syndicate / syndicate wars prolly need dos box to run them if you can find them :) Dungeon keeper is still awesome, if you like slapping and miss treating imps overlord on the 360 ain't too bad.
sonic, there's still lag even when outputting native res from 360 with vgacable, as I said, it depends on the tv. most cheap hdtv's are made for watching movies, so fast upscalers or the likes are not a priority when manufacturing.
I don't really understand how the mirror plane degrees option in the mirror tool works in maya as the 360 rotation degrees only work when the object is orientated towards -z. If not then messes up with the degrees. I think i'm missing somthing but don't get it. it's not very well documented too.
The trailer is up at all the game sites. Just wondering what everyone thought. It's apparetly being deved for the 360 and PS3. I hope the fast moving shadows translates really well into realtime and isn't just part of a cut scene. The setting is very cool. Not typical for a RE title.
Hello Polycount I'm a Game Art & 3D Animation student for four months now and this is my first showable result. Please let me know what you think. The Concept, model and the texture maps are from me. I used Maya13, photoshop and crazybump! The sword has 368 tris.
