Determining rock type
Hey, I have absolutely no idea where to post this, so here I go. Would anyone happen to know what rock type this would be? I've been looking around but I can't find any concrete (no pun intended) proof of what this rock type/formation is called.… -
Re: Rock sculpting problems
Definitely looks like a rock to me! Even though sculpt and flow is really important for a rock, remember that textures and materials will play a way bigger role in the final feel of a rock than the actual geometry. -

The plaque blends into the rock, it looks like it is made of rock itself. Probably make it iron, bronze, or copper. Iron will rust and leave streaks on the rock, copper turns green (I'm not sure if it will leave green streaks or not), and bronze tends to darken as it ages. Otherwise, it's pretty cool looking -

Hand Painted Rocks
I've been working on creating some painted-style rocks. Something relatively simple that I could get some nice practice with. Basic Diffuse-only shading.
