Personally I´ve always looked on any post-render filter like CA or film grain as a way to break up the perfectness of a rendered image. It´s a quick an easy way to create imperfections in the image which in turn fool the eye/perception into thinking the image is more realistic than it is straight out of the renderer.…
@notman if you don't mind me asking, have you tried browsing polycount for a good period of time on your mobile pre and post change? the experience has gotten worse. Before I had to zoom around but had all the information from a desktop experience - you actually lose critical information on a mobile view. Little to no text…
I disagree with this personally. I see leads and other hiring managers going through work and they actually do not mind clicking on different project sub sections. It gives a clear understanding of what project the assets belong to, and especially if you have worked on many projects, it can absolutely organize the work. I…

Almost killed my mouse tonight :poly127: I can paint a bit (a bit I mean that it works nice for texture work) with a pen in ps and mudbox but I can't model for shit with a pen. Tried to do this and failed which makes me nervous because it's an infuriating mouse or a track ball future. I have never used a track ball but in…
Hey guys! I'm posting my portfolio up again for crits, since it's undergone a lot of changes in the past year. I'm currently working as a freelance artist, but I still would like to get a job in-house at a studio somewhere. Specifically, I'm looking for a job as a 3d artist generalist, so that I can apply to a wider array…
Beginner here, I found an interactive experience on the Universal Orlando website where the user can explore a 3D environment of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and the village of Hogsmeade from the Harry Potter universe. The user can point and click to move to various pre-set locations and move the camera 360° to view the…
