Is there a maxscript to do this?

Hi guys,

Just thought of something i have to do quite often, and i was wondering if it wasn't possible to scriptify it :D.

whenever i make reference planes in max this is what i do:
-create a material (basic) with the reference file in the diffuse slot.
-look at the dimensions of the image
-if it's let's say.. 700x650 pixels I create a plane with dimensions: 6,5x7,0 (it is the other way around if you create a plane in the front view, i have no idea why).
-i make a copy/rotate it 90 degrees so I have a side view
-redo previous step so i have a back view
-convert all to editable poly and attach them to each other.

then i turn on "keep uv's" and slide some edges around so that every image is cropped nicely.

I realise some of these steps need to be done by hand, but is it possible to press a hotkey, select your image file and have half of it done? (so you only have to "crop" the images and move them to the correct positions). it would be especially nice to automate the dimensions part.

thanks in advance!
