Yeah of course :) bonus is all my programs load really quick. When I switched back to a PC with no SSD I forgot how long Max took to load. Still an SSD shouldn't really be competing with RAM. If I had any less than 6GB I'm sure I'd be having loads of issues, SSD or not.
Hey guys! I'm building my portfolio and I would really like some critique/feedback. I've been around, but never really posted any work. Guess that is about to change :poly142: I'll start off with a character for a personal game project I'm making which involves physics manipulation. This the a 2d concept I did for the…
Hi all, https://Clara.io, the online 3D modeling and rendering web app, is pleased to announce that we have just officially launched V-Ray rendering and our new 3DStream render embed technology. The full details are in this blog post. Clara.io has come a long way since we first launched in beta back in August. This is a…
A little over 3 months ago I was offered the amazing opportunity to take part in the beta program for Pixologics ZBrush 4. Working alongside some ridiculously talented artists I've picked up a ton of new tricks and techniques that have allowed me to visualize, create, and complete a host of new characters in signifigantly…
Hello everyone! This is my first post here (although I'm always reading other posts :P) I'm an animation student (although I wanna work in video games but there aren't any related careers here) and my partner and I are working on our thesis, which is of course an animated short. So I wanted to ask for feedback on a very…
So who knows why, but I was curious about a way to really easily and quickly put together decent-looking modular Bouncy Castles, with a dedicated Master Material. A habit of mine is to try and find easy solutions for cloth/rubber/etc things without expensive tools and high-res meshes or lots of unique surface area, so this…
beholders are actually copyrighted by TSR (now owned by wizards of the coast) thats why it hasnt appeared in games other than D&D licenced ones. love the sculpt, it kicks ass. And speaking about ass, i never knew beholders had ass cracks! which brings me images of sexual games between beholders ewwwwwwwwwww thanks!
Going to have to respectfully disagree with this one, not the stuff about no AI, that is totally fine, but about having no limitations. I don't think you can accurately judge a 1 billion triangle super detailed sculpt piece against a low poly hand painted piece, it's a problem I feel that has popped up with other…
Lets put it this way, if you where my only daughter and a band of gypsies had the last SSD drive on the planet you're new name would be Tsuritsa. Like Justin said you'll see way more of a gain from a SSD drive than a 2nd video card. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjCmLJtITK4[/ame] Score another victory for SSD.
Polyhertz, not at my computer at the moment but I think that's correct, a 950 bloomfield. My benchmark might go higher after I flash the SSD with new firmware to support the trim command on win 7. I'll post an update after I get that done. Currently the SSD is the performance bottleneck because of the absence of trim…
