Take criticism constructively and think about what it is that is being said to you and applying it back in to your work the next time around. Not to come off as…
Hey, I just learned how to create hair cards but I'm struggling a LOT to place them. It comes out looking like shit, but I guess this is one of those things you have to practice a lot. But I was hoping that someone would have some nice tips and tricks for placing them.
Which part exactly do you struggle with? I see a tiling undermaterial and then a layer on top that masks it away. You can probably come up with a smart solution for this, create a pattern generator or something. but you might just go in and paint that stretched longer/bigger cutout mask by hand. The shorter one looks…
$18-20, IMO is very base level work/pay these days. I say shoot for $22. In the OC/San Diego, California area... 18-20 is tough to live off of on your own. The Other Brothers is on Kickstarter! I am excited to see the response after only 15 minutes but I hope even more than my fellow Greenteeth will support us because not only does it mean that we can actually eat and survive the next few months, it also means that we will be able to get real translators, musicians and…
Saw a movie on the independent film channel a long while ago that followed a lady with a lunch cart through an office. The gal had curly black hair and there was this one bit that turned into a dance number. Anyone know what it was called?
Im working on a character and he has a cavalier hat so I need to make a ostrich feather to go with it. How would you guys tackle the thick and flowing feather? I was thinking of having cards come off of a tube of geo that acts as the shaft with my transparency maps on that. photo for reference edit: Im doing this in maya…
