Smoothing Groups/ Normals ???
I've got errors on a cog that I've made. I've cleared and re-applied smoothing groups, I've flipped/unified normals, I've exported/imported as an obj, I've remodeled, I've cleanly uvw mapped it, but still it's there. To me, AAA / AAAA is primarily a marker of budget and production scale, not a guarantee of quality or depth. Skull and Bones feels more like an example of how a long, complex production combined with live-service constraints can erode systemic depth, even when a significant amount of resources has been invested. -

Max resolves Ngons differently to Blender. Moving the vert works because it changes how the hidden edges are resolved. If you want to get rid of the problem, you have to manually add edges so that Max doesn't do any weird guesswork with the hidden edges.
