So I'm messing with maya and one thing just freaks me out. I got used to orthographic user view because it's more precise when dealing with hard surface objects. So I turned on "orthographic" option in camera attributes and also disabled lock in tumble tool options. And everything was fine until I tried to look at my model…
Left-drag in the viewport makes the camera move around. Is there a way to disable this somewhere in the settings? I'm using a tablet in UDK for mesh paint, or painting on a Landscape, and suddenly the view moves around. My initial clicks are often misinterpreted as "move" instead of "paint".
Can someone tell me if there is a setting in order to view all your textures from a distance in Hammer Editor. I want to take screenshots of the entire room without the textures disapearing when I zoom out. Thanks and I apoligize if this is a noob question but this is the first time I have used Hammer and did Google,…
Heeey, thanks for the heads up. We've a thread for bug reports for the forums that was mysteriously unstickied so this should have been posted there. Ah well, not your fault. As for smilies, you should check your user options and ensure that smilies are enabled for your viewing pleasure. Additionally, was it a new thread…
I've been trying to UV map an object relative to a flat plane, so that at the right angle, the object blends with the plane like a chameleon. Problem is, the "Project from view (Bounds)" option only snapshots the model orthographically, when I'm going for perspective. How do I get it to do this?
Hello! Please look at the picture below, You could see there is one line in the road but it is 3 in the render view! How to fix this?! (I already google searched but I haven't found a solution for this, although I've found a same topic for Blender but because of the different software that I work with, it was not useful)
A scene I'm working on has ballooned to using over 80 materials. When I go to apply existing materials to my models the list goes beyond the expanse of my screen with no option to scroll up. Is there another way I can view/apply materials in my scene? Or is there a way to add the scrolling feature to the Exiting materials…
I know of the four orthographic panes. What I'm wondering is if there's a way to quick snap to an ortho view (front/back/side/top/bottom) in the main perspective viewport camera. I suppose it doesn't even have to be an actual ortho view, it can still be in perspective mode. I just thought there was a way you could hold…
I took some time off of 3d a while back to really get into photography. You can see my portrait work here: http://www.mr-chompers.com I also did a few photography tutorials. One of them was on choosing a focal length to purposefully change your field of view, and it's quite relevant to 3D work. I figured I would share it…
Hello, I'm still newbie. I have a problem while modelling a character. Well when I use sided view, I get black points on the model. How to fix it? Here screen:
