Re: 3dsmax's "Peel Mode" - Maya equivalent?
Have you tried "straighten UVs"? It's in the UV toolkit under "unfold" What you can also try is 'Unfold' but with the UVs you don't want to move unselected. Or you can pin certain UVs… -
