Yeah if you don't mind the size/weight and price of the D850 it's an absolute beast of a camera. If you value image quality above all else that would be my recommendation or a Sony A7r if price isn't an issue but size is. It's safe to assume that the size and amount of files will affect how long the scans take to process…
Hello! I'm a concept artist looking to share my work here :D I'm game art student focused on fantasy and game oriented designs, looking to find some kind of opportunity soon. Open to blunt critique, especially on how useful my concepts would be in a game production pipeline. Trying to level up here.
Hello everybody! I'm going to create a 3d environment for a mobile game on Unity. Project - action with a view from above and spacious locations. Since the project will not be released soon, the target platforms are top-generation devices of the current generation. By collecting information, I'm a little confused in the…
Hi! I've been looking for some answers in the content that I've watched, but I didn't exactly find something that will fix the problem I'm facing right now. I'm following miss Arilizart's process video for normal painting inside Painter, and although I've followed pretty much each step they do, I'm facing a problem in the…
I'd also like to thank people for checking it out :) Always glad to see people dropping by and leaving a comment or two. I've been giving the "sharp edges" criticism some thought and while I could see it would become a problem if this was to get baked down, I don't think it will have a large impact on a scene rendered in…
I am sorry to keep on harping on this but the grass still doesn't look very good. The normals look very weird, have you un-ticked the 'tangent space normals' option for the material or something? If that is the case, try to just edit the normals in you 3D application (if it has that feature). It simply doesn't look very…
Did you set your camera FoV to be closer to film cameras? It can be hard to get a likeness right if your camera is causing distortion, which can make it difficult to get the exact details right, but also various proportion issues. The position of the cheekbone and brow ridge, and skull is definitely affected by this. Her…
Hi everyone! After nearly two months of silence, I'm back. I took an unplanned vacation from 3D — hospital with pneumonia. My advice to you: don't get hospitalized with pneumonia—it's awful I've fully recovered now and am ready to share a progress report covering the last 1.5 weeks of work on my project. During this time,…
Hi! Did you create manual lightmap UVs? Doing so, you could add another loop in the flat area and then lightmap UV the whole opening as a straightened strip. You could probably ditch the bevel and let the baked lighting do the edge smoothing. The other way would be to simply increase lightmap resolution. Share the mesh if…
This project is some serious dedication, especially if you're doing all this by yourself! Very cool, can't wait to see more =) Thanks for sharing the breakdown for the bus stop, always interesting to read how stuff was done.
