Hey guys. I recently switched to windows 7 64 bit, and now when I try to load a dds into a shader in max ( 2009 ) I get an invalid file type error. Any thoughts?
Working on a new game art reel for 2009. Starting out with a race of characters called the Paka'Desh. Here is some of the concept work: ^ This final design will be what I am going off of for the 3D game model.
In max 2009 is it possible to move around the scene with the array dialogue box open, it seems to freeze the viewport when you open the dialogue box which is tad irritating, dunno if this has been changed in max 2010.

Does anyone know a way to get vertex paint to render in Max 2009 scanline or mental ray renderer? There is a tutorial some guy made but I have not been able to get it to work. All help will be appreciated, thanks..

Are there any Re-Surfacing plugins for Maya 2009 that are available for free similar to NEX? I'm looking for a plugin that also has a symmetry function...I'd love to use NEX but $168 is a little steep for me right now.
