Hi, I've working on a map of Helm's Deep in UDK. I'm almost done with the models for exteriors. But I've been having problems with light map bleeding/seams. Does anyone know of any good tutorial for making light maps in UDK? I hear that we need to use grid snapping to avoid the seams. But all I can find in Blender is pixel…
I apologize for posting this late, but I felt really burned out, needed a break and started working on other projects just so I won`t lose my mind. With these being said, I will post the extremely important things I learned over the last few weeks. 1.Don`t be greedy with the low poly geometry. I know for some it sounds…
I only ever use the metalic and roughness pbr, I never use the gloss/specular etc. maybe I will export the model to Unity or Maromoset at some point but my goal is just to make a nice render of a vase with a glazed surfice which catches the light. currently I am making some certamic vases, and I would like to experiement…
One thing to consider is the skewing that occurs when baking with a cage based on averaged vertex normals. Looks like here the skewing is more apparent because of the lamella nature of the highpoly pages. Checking the skewing on the original, continuos lowpoly in Toolbag, it looks like the rays will be hitting the highpoly…
Hi everyone, I am making a room with wall pieces that are copy's of the same static mesh. When I vertex (try to) paint every one also receives it like they are not copy's but more like instances. Does anyone know how I could prevent this from happening so I can make different details on different parts of the room? Thanks Z
I have been looking everywhere, and even asked Justin Williams of Montage Studio (www.montagestudio.org) and he recommended this site for me to ask this question. As I don't know where to place it I put it in General that way I know I am not breaking any rules. My question is that I was looking for tutorials or something…
Hey, BIGTIMEMASTER--> there is for 100% not UVs problem, because I have tested it making the same things on the simple cube. I created a cube then made a hair geometry from xgen and the result is the same. I have baked hair on the sides of the mesh that should be clear. My only suspicion is that the hair are projected to…
Hello everyone, I modeled this car and I in the shading and texturing phase, but I want to make a transparent shader, or glass material on the car's glass, anyone knows how to make this??
