I went to HB for the 4th last year, and it took me about 2 hours just to get from Main St back to the 405 at about 10pm after the fireworks were over. So yes, if you are going for the fireworks, plan on staying late and leaving after the MAD rush.

I started a rifle for a FPS demo scene I'm working on in conjunction with a USMC character. So far these are some screens of the wires, occlusion render and a 0.5% start on the texturing of the model. Right now the model runs in at 6,00 tris and am working on a 2048 texture...but will use compression tool to get it to 1024…

Ok finally got an answer on crydev. r_SSReflections = 0 or r_SSReflCutoff = 0.5 those are the cvars. The top one completely disables it, and the bottom one defines the min gloss level that the RLR is enabled at. (cvar values from 0-1 translate to 0-255 in the gloss slider)
Hey, That was a little tricky. I think because hex patterns don't line up with square grids like the tile generator. I had to compensate by stretching the pattern shape a little. and making the tile generator XY amount 7 by 6 and vertical offset of 0.5
