Yesterday I finished this 3D model of an axe. I would appreciate any comments and critiques.I used Blender 2.8, Zbrush and Substance Painter. It was inspired from a concept art by Wesley Trutwin. I really love the shape, but I ended up changing the colors. It was really fun working on this and it turned out better than…

Hi Guys,I made a model of the Heavy Moon Axe from God Eater 3 for my school project. It is fully textured and has a turn table.Do let me know what you guys think and other improvements I could use ! The turn table is on my art station which is located here ! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/L28l6P
It depends on how stylized you want to be but I feel like you could make the transition between the gold and the edges of the axe a bit more blended. Perhaps make a few discolourations on the metal so its not so flat. Looks nice and as others have said the small dwarves holding up the head of the axe are great

Hi everyone! I've finally (mostly) finished off an old project, and its time to get some outside feedback cause I'm at that point where I've lost the ability to be critical. Anyways, I've created a bit of a medieval battle axe here, so let me know what you think! Good or bad, all feedback is welcome :) I have a ton of…
First of all, this is a lovely stylized axe :) For critiques, I think you're on it. My first thought was that the cracks on the axe head were much too much. Metal doesn't really crack, and if it does, then a piece falls off. Think more along the lines of dents and gouges and scrapes, and metal pushed back where its hit…
I began reeling back my portfolio work realizing maybe at this time I am focusing on to big of a picture. I wanted to start some prop work and hopefully build from there. I started sketching and came up with a real world weapon with a touch of fantasy. It would be a Dane Axe, but an earlier, cruder version with a tribe…
I'm currently working on making weapons for a game project, and technically I'm a new, so I really need some tip and advice for my work. This is my testing war axe for the game. It's about 700 tris, with 1024 x 1024 Normal / Diffuse / Specular rendered in Marmoset. Please to have you comments. Raw concept by Vinh Dang Tuan.
Really struggling to figure out how to make the shape of this axe blade in Zbrush, any help is appreciated greatly. To clarify i'm mainly struggling with geting the basic block out down, and then I have no idea how I would uniformly apply a sharpened bevel effect to the edges, very confusing.
