Hi all, I'm trying to make some tile-able pieces and I'd like to use ZBrush to detail them. However, the fact that they need to tile seamlessly is giving me a lot of frustration, as I'm not very fluent with ZBrush yet. I managed to deal with a straight piece (wall), but now I moved on to a corner piece and I can't figure…
Well, i've finaly made the plunge and i'm going to be at it hardcore. Studying anatomy and zbrush at the same time. I probobly have a mid to low level knowledge of zbrush so i'm able to easily navigate the menus but i'm not sure of all the amazing features that zbrush has to offer. Anyway, I started yesterday. I'm going to…
I'm having a problem with importing into Zbrush from max 9, that I was hoping somone might know whats going on, or how to fix it? I've created a model with UV's in max, and have brought it into Zbrush. I've checked the UV's for overlapping in Zbrush, and there's 2 big triangles red triangles going over several parts of the…
Double sided and normalize settings don't seem to work when I use projection master, I use the single layer brush mainly for most stuff I do, but the same thing happens with the other bruses, I use no alphas, I keep a basic matcap material
How do I limit Rect masking to one side of a cube? Ie, make sure the backface isn't masked as well? To be clear, I'm not asking about how to limit sculpting to one side of a mesh (ie Brush>Auto Masking>BackFaceMask). I'm trying to mask the windows on the North side of a house and the South side gets masked as well.
Hey, sorry if this is too basic for its own topic but I couldn't find any straightforward answer. I have a model in 3DS max that has about 40 separate objects in it and wanted to export it and then import it into Zbrush so I can work on it a little bit more while still maintaining the number of objects and the name of…
I imported a base mesh from maya, into ZBrush and have begun sculpting. Is it possible to scale that mesh on an individual axis within ZBrush? I read somewhere that it is, but I think it said it needed to be a particular type of mesh and I'm too new to distinguish ZBrush's mesh types.
Hello. I am trying to make a wired curve multimesh brush. So I have three parts: the beggining, the end, and the middle zone, as in the picture below. So what I want to obtain is a curve stroke where the first and third polygrups only appears once. Just like this: But instead, I am getting this result: Why is this…
Yep, now it's my turn to ask about a few things Zbrush/3dsmax related... I'm currently working on an animated character for university, it doesn't have to be anything spectacular, but I figured I'd do a displacement map in Zbrush for the mesh so I can rig/animate the lowpoly (source mesh) and just use the displacement map…
