Hey So I have this ground sand gradient shader, not a real intersection shader but a cheap solution that is good enough from a top down view Now this works well for objects that have a pivot at the bottom, like a Building or a Lamppost or something that stands on the ground For rocks however, that dosnt work at all, as…
Hi Guys! My latest product for unreal engine 4 has been released! It's called 'Cartoon Cel Shader'. This is not a post processed based cel shader and outline solution! Any feedback is helpful! Check out the video, purchase links are in the description! Thanks! https://youtu.be/ENOCAmEnqg4
Hey guys, I've been struggling with this for about 2 days now. Tried to watch the unreal material series at their website but it didn't really delve into foliage. So, I've made this grass, and I'm happy with how it turned out. However, I don't like the way it receives light from the side the light is not hitting directly.…

For Maya you should use a CGFX shader anyway as they are much more stable than the HLSL shaders. There are a few CGFX shaders available but I have to recomend my own lcUberShader.cgfx. If you have never used a…
In the attached picture, I've used the refraction shader on a water surface. It generally looks great, but there is one issue with it. It refracts the white edge, even though this edge is front of the water. Is this a limitation of the shader?

Hey guys, I am trying to use the substance vray shader for the first time, but when switching to vraymtl metallic shader the material (which is not even a material yet, just a standard fill layer) looks very reflective. When I take the roughness all the way up (as in no reflection at all) I am getting this weird cartoony…
Anyone here with any know about working with real time shaders in XSI, I know it has OpenGL and DX9/DX10 and I've seen photos of MGS4 using view port shaders.
