I just wanted to get some feedback on these two materials. they are both done solely with substance designer. The First is a tile floor that was inspired by one of my old workplaces. The second is what I got after improving on a tutorial I was watching.
Hey fellas, I have a 1080 GTX Asus rogue laptop, kinda powerful, but when using many layers in substance painter it becomes kinda annoying and slow, even when I save the file I wait approx 2 to 3 mins to save it. Anyone knows if there is a trick or a tip to improve it's performance? :)
Hey everyone, i'm having problem with substance painter exporter. Maps export fine with 2k resolution or below, but with 4k I get this artefact. Comparison: Painter Unity Texture with artefact I also figured out that 4k maps export fine if I don't use image files on fill layers (lights)...
I'm still a bit new to texturing. What is used the most in the industry, what will be the best money spent. Is hand painted texturing being replaced by generated materials in AAA, is it a better investment to move into Quixel? Should I just use plain old Photoshop? Is 3D coat better for texturing than Photoshop or…

Hey guys, how do you approach texturing models from Fusion 360 if even? This is an FBX export from a BRep to Mesh, medium refinement unwrapped in blender (No retopo). The shading looks correct in Blender but in substance painter the shading breaks.
Hey guys, I was experimenting with Substance designer and painter and was wondering if there was an easy way to move between the two programs or what is the least destructive way to iterate between the two programs. I was wondering if there was an equivalent to "GOZ" for zbrush for the two programs. Thanks!
The mite that could :) Substance designer full procedural, Zbrush Displacement and reduce for low, Maya UV and clean up, Substance Painter bake and place smart material....done. ill do a video of this soon.
These all look great! In the near future I plan to create Substances similar to these (sand, grass/dirt, snow/ice, etc). I'm wondering if you have any suggested tutorials and/or guides you could link to me or tips/tricks you may have on creating Substances like the ones you have done here. -Stosh
