When rendering out passes, say diffuse and shadow, I use to set them up separately before rendering. I'm a bit slow on the uptake but I've recently began using Render Elements in Max. How can I use Elements to render out the passes (diffuse + shadow) without having to render out the complete master render first? It seems…
It needs its own UV space within the 0-1 area-- not stacked. So some shifting around of other UV elements/islands would have to be done to fit it in there. Even if the UVs are identical, if the texture needs to be unique it can't be stacked.
As you see some elements are imprinted on other elements. The positions of all meshes are frozen. Could it be related to big scene size? As you see I have wheels moved far away, in order to make them occlude properly.
Hi all, Been working on this scene for a couple of weeks now. Done most of the major blocking in of the cave itself, added the organic elements & first pass on the lighting/VFX. Now refining the more structural/manmade elements. Anyways some screenshots:
The idea is mixing elements from Mad Max II, Akira and Steamboy movies. The main elements will be dirt and particles (smoke and fx). The characters will be soldier women, like cat woman twins in Dominion Tank Police. I hope something good of this.
Hi, does anyone know any script in Max (2009) for selecting elements in an object given a certain size? I think it would be very useful when you want to scale the texel for a lot of small pieces that need more detail.
The Throne Room which we are creating is that of a fantasy based, with elemental elements that cover the area. The Idea comes with some comedic aspects that are incorporated within the design of the throne room. https://uk.pinterest.com/SamWyvern/throne-room/
