I had to create a scene in UDK and then submit a screen shot from it for my modelling class. I chose to do a windmill in a field of flowers because I wanted to do something that would be pleasing to look at. I thought I'd post it here and hopefully get some critiques on how to make it better. Thanks!…
My price range is between £150-£250 for a new graphics card. My fps atm in a blank udk editor is 35 which is...bad. I am pretty out of touch with hardware since i built my pc 3 years ago so im wondering if anyone can help me out with pointing where to go?
Ok so i figured out that udk uses a defualt AO in its world properties, and as you can tell its way to big and silly looking and i would like to scale it down. The issue is there is only a check box for the ao post processing. Does anyone know if their is away for me to keep the AO but scale it back a bit? thanks
How important is it to show portfolio assets in an actual engine vs Marmoset? I'm new to game art and I'm in the process of learning UDK but Marmoset is an excellent tool for showing off assets. Is it OK to put Marmoset renders on a portfolio site or would that be considered a bullshot by those doing the hiring?
Hello, I would like to create a "heat lightning" effect in UDK (lightning that only goes from cloud to cloud with no sound). What is the easiest way to accomplish this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I can't see any of the icons for player start in my level, its consistent through all my UDK files. I have checked that all my sprites are visible. is there a shortcut i'm missing or what?
Here is how the model looks in the udk example scene. Half of the map is showing up as blue. This is how it looks in max. Anyone know a fix to this, I am sure it has something to do with how the uvs are mirrored.
I have a few lag issues in UDK, it seems whenever I move something it lags. Here are my specs: AMD Athlon x2 Dual Core 2.1 GHz 3GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Packard Bell Easynote LJ61 I was wondering if I upgraded my RAM up to 8GB would it stop lagging, or is it down to the video card?
Last and final project in UDK. Started this about a year ago before starting a new contract and never finished. I think i'm calling it quits so I can finally move into UE4 Fully. -First time working with foliage and an Outdoor scene -Focus on lighting and environment effects -Improve hard surface texturing VIDEO [ame="…
