Hi all, Just curious to whether anybody knows how to achieve something like this? Tom Looman has achieved pretty much exactly what i'm hoping to achieve but hasn't provided much means for replicating the effect. http://www.tomlooman.com/ue4-evolves-outline-post-effect/ Thanks
Don't be turned off by the cartoon aspect, it's intentionally like that so it's simpler to understand and replicate. But it teaches you construction of the form and proportions. I'd say it's better to start with that first and then move on to Scott's "How to Draw". Because Scott's book is harder/more technical.
I'm feeling it. Been in the industry for 3 years and all 3 projects I participated on got axed. I've got nothing to show. Perhaps I can survive for longer if I become a pure game developer. I've always wanted to make my own games and I am not sure if my game ideas are replicable by AI. ...I still love making guns and hard…
You mean the paint that is over the metal? It gets scratched away showing the metal underneath. As far as i know AHH uses photoshop only for texturing, so it's not like there is an exact material, though you can easly replicate this in either Quixel or Substance.
For comparison: We were asked to choose a film and replicate it. I chose this shot from alien and added some stuff. Also for future reference, is it better I create a new topic for each project? I appear to be receiving very little feedback.
This is awesome man, get rid of paper NAO! Free Wifi option, free firmware updates, PDF, MP3... this thing is like the best notepad ever. I wonder what it feels like when you draw on it, if they replicate paper... it's an instant buy.
So looking at the polycount wiki u have this: and then this: There are some differences here especially around the mouth and eyebrow knot areas. Which one is better or is the first one okay to replicate?I also wish there were more views of the first one like a side (to show the ears), and back as well but they are not…

Wanted to show some love for a great game and create a fan skin! I'm happy with how I replicated the Fortnite style and from what I've seen, it looks like it belongs in the game! The model was made using the base no skin model of Ramirez and altered accordingly to create the final piece.
I'm trying to get better at popout art work and was trying to replicate the outside splatter on the following images Was wondering what would be the best way to do this, I can't really find nice brushes to do this with, could someone give me tutorial/tips/links to nice brushes etc Thanks :)
