Blender 2.5 also has a decimate modifier. I could never get Meshlab to preserve UV coordinates, and not sure if Blender does, as I haven't used it much yet in Blender.
I outlined the part I wanted to cut out from the "Lowerreceiver." Then extruded it to cut through the object on the X-Axis. Then it just adds an object, and does not cut. Disregard any sloppy work, I am brand new to Blender.
Simple question... All of my experience in my year or so of 3d has been in Blender. My question is now that im getting to a point where I know blender to a high level, should I just deep dive into Blender further, or should I use the base knowledge of the 3d workflow I learned in Blender and pick up Maya?
