Good start, I would look into some fur shading stuff when doing these. fur usually have a pretty strong rim light going on. fur also have a double specular. I know It might feel a little overkill to watch this entire video, but at least skim through it. they talk a lot about the aspects of fur and hair.… -

xGen and Arnold render - Fur stay the same colour no matter what I do (within my knowledge).
No matter what I do, this is the colour i get (See images of gorilla dude). It is a lovely Fur colour, but not what I need.
