The turret design seems a bit odd, especially the taller back. Something like the turret from an M-113 might work better: You might also want to scoot the turret forward a bit, to get it closer to the center of gravity. -

I would maybe invest in a good CPU such as 4930k (or even 4960k if you have alot of dough). When it comes down to rendering and anything 3D in general the regular ones does not cut it. I would also get 32GB ram, i have 16 and on several occasions had to close down apps due to lack of ram. But as your budget is fairly low,… -

Sure, if you hate dosh. (Skyshop is $125, Toolbag license is $59) If you're going to be using Skyshop anyway then that's not a problem, but otherwise you're going out of your way just to avoid a (seemingly unlikely) problem in the future. -

Here what I got in zbrush from your posted image. Is this the result you are looking for ? The dynameshed model is about 1.5 mil of polygons but you can go higher if you want it even more precise
