The IGDA collects membership fees. That's useful. Membership fees buy beer. Score for Tim "Douchebag" Langdell stepping down. Once he's out of the picture for good, I can finish my newest game title: Edge of Edginess: The Cutting Edge Trilogy
Added a little bit more detail on the pillars and the bows above them wich hopefully don't look too edgy. I'm calling the modeling on these two parts done, except someone has something to say against that. Comments and crits are always nice to see! :)
This might be a math precision probem.. because i tried to recreate it and after a while i recognized.. i didn't applied scale.. so.. ..there is a slighly difference in shading just because the scale is normalized to 1.0.. So i assume also the WeightedNormal modifier computes some slighly different result.. an now i see…
i would add some AO behind the teeth. They are looking like not conneceted to the rest. I guess you tried, but maybe it looks better when the pupil´s are not stretched and a thin dark line around the eyeball would hide the edgy form from the polygons.
Agreed on the nips. It was the first thing I noticed when I first saw her, I'm a boob guy :) . I like LEViATHAN's glasses reference. Edgy design with that old school twist that seems to be very popular these days. Looking good overall. Keep going!
@GravityBwlast Thank you! I'm still not dived into her outfit design, but I want to avoid too edgy- spiky siluettes, cause it more Talon's feature imo. But anyway thank you! @Benefix @TouijriHamza @doses222 @Katya_Cyan Thank you! Will try my best!
This year of my life is all about finishing stuff I started. After three attempts, I finally made it through Thomas Pynchon's "V.". I feel good about that, even though I still have no idea what the fnucking halaal it was about. Not that I'm alone in that. After a while I guess I'll try 'Gravity's Rainbow' again. Now I'm…
The 'pinching' and second image with wireframe. I used soften normals within Maya and got this result. I unlocked normals, set to face tried every option up there. Got nothing from it. This isnt the only location I got this artifact from on my model.
looks like transformers to me from a design perspective: flashy and edgy. Reminds me also alot of the japanese 'Decotora' pimped trucks in somewhat flashy style: you can find more of it here: http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2006/11/electric-light-truck-decoration-in.html
Really fun idea lotet! Besides Eric's point another thing you could try would be to tilt the camera to give an edgy feel given the scenario. Just a thought mind :p and I wouldn't call yourself a shitty artist. You're doing nice work :)
