Hello everyone, I've generated a 2k height map from substance designer and imported it to ZBrush to use it as a displacement map, but applying the map generate some weird layered artifacts, This also happens when I use the map as an alpha with the standard brush, any idea what might cause this issue? Thanks
So I'm working on a scope model, an Eotech, and am unwrapping and sewing edges together. I see this here http://i41.tinypic.com/1gohoi.png Two pieces, identical. What can I do to combine or layer or merge them together so when texture time comes I don't have to put in double the work? You know? Like The left side will be…
For one reason or another, ever since I updated the Suite, and wanted to try making a new paint layer to mess with stuff, this warning pops up. Afterwards, no input works at all when trying to paint, either on my tablet or with my mouse. Can anyone help me figure out why this is doing that?
Hi, I am trying ndo2 for creating tileable hardsurface normal maps. But I have a hard time finding any information about how to stop ndo2 from applying bevels at the edges of my texture space. So I thought the edgeless layer might be what I am looking for. But the documentation is thin and many tutorials seem to have the…

I think what you probably want is the "use background" shader. This can be set up on a render layer to give you a pass with only shadows. I haven't set this up in a while so I don't remember the exact settings you need to use with it but you can take the output of the use background (think you may have to invert it with a…

personally I've found you end up doing more work in Unreal's shader editor for things like fire and what not, because you can easily overlay multiply and additive layers on a mask to get good fire, so you're paying for the shader. With Unity, it's just about better to release a bunch of particles with the simplest shaders…
