When practicing fast sculpting exercises, I find that is easier for me to make a good quality head if it is "Ugly" than trying to make a beautiful/handsome head. Of course with an "ugly" old man's head, proportions can be a bit off and wrinkles make the sculpt look cool. My question to you is: Is it harder to make…
good start, are you using a Tablet or regular mouse? try drawing some little details to use them as reference and then Sculpt the shape out of it, the best way to learn Sculpting workflow is to watch other people sculpting videos.
Hi there, I'm looking for a little advice on learning to sculpt skulls - exercises to do, resources to learn from. I started the below block out initially trying to copy the workflow in the preview images to Andrew Cawrse's sculpting the skull from memory dvd. I was supposed to make it a generic skull based on average…
I'm looking for any tools for simple sculpting in the editor. This is for meshes which are not terrains. I need to do some soft-falloff push/pull editing. If the terrain sculpting tools worked with non-terrains, that would be perfect. But they don't, :( What I've found so far: VTX Painter = this looks perfect, but doesn't…

It is a lot like polycount but mainly for sculptors and painters and can really offer you a lot of help with what you may need or would like to know. Plus there are some really cool sculpts on there…
With the upcoming movie "John Carter" coming out soon, I figured I'd go ahead and sculpt one of my favorite character from the books; the Jeddak of the Tharks, Tars Tarkas. I'm fairly new to sculpting and so any sort of critiques are more than welcome. Here is the actual character from the film. Again, any crits are…
I'm having a hard time sculpting a face. I hope the smaller body is looking realistic, I think it turned out quite well. I put it there to display that this character is being stretched and is much taller than a real human. The head however, is not looking right. i've tried and deleted it like 5 times. Always looks…
Hi there! Been working on this battle axe today and i figure might as well get some feedback to see if i'm going in the right direction with it. Currently everything is sculpted by hand though a bit of noise was used on the leather pieces. Planning on sculpting some finer details tomorrow! Here is the reference i'm using…
