Haha, you guys read this crazyness!? its pretty huge in its scope, this is probably the biggest movement of alliance wealth in any mmo to date. it looks gigantic! anyone know anything else? anyone close to the leaders? (who are apparently meeting in Washington DC for a RL meeting? hahaha…
I'd say stick with basic modeling so you get the proportions and polyflow right first. Remember to use reference images in the viewport as you model, that way you will get the proportions right. Here's the awesome tutorial i was meant to link: http://cgcookie.com/blender/2011/05/06/modeling-the-female-body-series-part-01/
main difference between yours and this http://esyriansolarsystem.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/normandy_render.png is the lighting. keep in mind you are in space and lighting would probably be pretty harsh (or at least hinting at it in hollywood space), while your last shot is very flat in shading. try putting a good rim on…
I loved it as well, I even teared up a bit at the end. A great ending to a great series. Anyways, here's more easter eggs for you guys. http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/06/18/toy-story-3-easter-eggs/ They aren't spoiler free, if you haven't seen the film, I'd stay away from them. Enjoy!
nice, i'm digging the lighting a lot. proportions of this room seem a little off: http://gameartist.nl/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/screen01.png windows are placed too high, they are too thin, and ceiling might be placed slightly too low. trim on the wall is bigger than on photo, so it also makes room feel smaller.
Some examples of both cubemap reflection and cubemap diffuse. http://zellersamuel.wordpress.com/2010/03/06/cubemaps/ Diffuse cube lighting is basically a quick hack to get soft ambient-style lighting, but it's very static, you need a new cubemap when your character goes inside for example. UDK now has better more-accurate…
Quickly going through the high poly on her hand held weapon, the GL-06. Still have to get in there and figure out all those surfaces on the back section of the receiver, think I might drop it into Zbrush and dynamesh and then zRemesh that section, might help knock all those edges together... Happy 4th of July, party people.
Here is my Medium Poly so you can see that I have been chamfering my edges, and what I am going for... http://www.andrewchason.com/wordpress_andrew/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/WIP_060310_01.jpg I'll just go from here to unwrapping and texturing after reducing my loops (since I'm not going to Mudbox).
Barely remembering when mt St Helens blew its top back in the 1980's, I prefer to see this stuff in photos not close up, heh, but I find this stuff fascinating. So amazing... even more can be found here: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2011/06/volcano_erupts_in_chile.html\ If you find some more post em!
http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/12/soul-calibur-4-unveiled-for-xbox-360-ps3-in-this-debut-teaser/ Holy crap, they somehow skankified Ivy's default uniform even more. It is more of a moving screenshot gallery than a teaser. I hope they bring back the awesomeness of SCII, as I was a bit disappointed with III, especially since…
