Barely remembering when mt St Helens blew its top back in the 1980's, I prefer to see this stuff in photos not close up, heh, but I find this stuff fascinating.

Amazing photos, just stunning really. If not for the devastation, I'd say they were beautiful.

I BARELY remember the St Helen's eruption, but I do remember everything being coated with ash where I lived. And the adults wouldn't stop talking about it.
