Started with the back support part of it, took a while until i got a grip on the whole subtool function part. Just sculpted the seat and placed the buttons. Think i might need to give the sections around the buttons abit more attension so they look like the seat goes around the button and not in it.
schamalamading dong! i think the belley button is too low, a quick head check puts the belley button about 3/4th a head below where it should be. the reason i noticed it is because it seemed odd to have the belley button no located in that cranny between the bottom two abdominal segments
Hello people, been playing with Maxscript for a month, full time :p it's great and all, but there are still a few things I don't get :poly127: Like this problem: This is a reduced but valid i think version of my code rollout myRollOut "My Rollout :D" width:216 height:462( include "$scripts\myRollOut\UI\SelectCharID.ms" --…
Sorry, I'm a little unsure what you mean. 😅 I'll have to show the geo/UVs in question. These are the buttons: They are essentially the same design, though different sizes. The main difference is that the one on the left has cotton stitching in the middle. Here are the UVs for the green button, overlays offset. The…
See, I'm having problems trying to duplicate the subtools buttons. The problem is that the first subtool button is always occupied by what ever tool is currently selected and when I copy it, it creates a copy that is linked to that tool rather than a generic empty subtool 0 button. So when I try and select a different tool…
i use modifier sets. why these are not open standard is way beyond me. you have a little button that looks lik a windows window with 4 buttons under the modifier list, click that and configure modifier sets. here you can pull whatever modifiers you use the most dowon onto as many buttons as you'd like.
Reseting the tool can also fix issues like that too. Go to the tools properties and there will be a reset button. The issue might be on the transform itself, always a good idea to reset it too.
Hello All, I am building a sci fi cryo chamber in Maya. I would like the texture to be metal yet have the buttons and detail pieces glow. I did a quick test (with unfinished textures), where I plugged the diffuse into the color of a Blinn, and a Alpha of the buttons into the Glow Intensity under Special Effects. This…
It's up to you. You can either animate the buttons in UE using matinee. Or animate in max and just export each button anim as its own .fbx file. You don't need a complex bone rig. Just a bone for each button all skinned with the same modifier.I'm sure there are more technical ways of doing it but I'm not a…
Hey Norman - it seems that pressing the button you set up to shoot an object to Zbrush actually does another script button I have setup instead... your button makes Zbrush pop up and everything, but nothing changes. When I go back to max it says --unknown system exception and the other script I have's rollout is up and…
